In rural Connecticut, two baseball players — hard-edged Ben and gentle Mickey — are fighting to survive a zombie plague. They form a battery: pitcher and catcher working in tandem to outmaneuver the undead. The two frequently clash on how to handle their situation. Then a human voice crackles over their walkie-talkies. Is salvation finally near, or is Ben's suspicion right to run deep?
